The Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival’s BRUNCH WITH SHAKESPEARE will take place on June 3rd from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Aspen Grove in Incline Village, NV.
INCLINE VILLAGE, NV (June 23, 2011) – The Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, a non-profit organization established for the cultural benefit and enjoyment of all residents and visitors to Lake Tahoe and Reno, is partnering with Red, White and Tahoe Blue to serve the community a delightful omelet and mimosa brunch on July 3rd from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Aspen Grove, located directly across from Ski Beach in Incline Village.
Red, White and Tahoe Blue hosts multiple events throughout Incline Village from June 30th-July 4th. The Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival is thrilled to participate in this community event for the first time. The Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival staff and volunteers will cook and serve omelets, fruit, potatoes and mimosas for the cost of $12 per person. Orange juice will be available for young attendees and designated drivers.
“Having been a cultural tradition in Lake Tahoe for 39 years, the Festival is thrilled to begin a culinary tradition as well,” said Bob Taylor, the executive director of the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival and one of the omelet chefs. Red, White and Tahoe Blue’s events positively impact the community and attract tourists from across the country. BRUNCH WITH SHAKESPEARE is funded by the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, Red, White and Tahoe Blue, and through generous donations from community partners. Half of all proceeds from BRUNCH WITH SHAKESPEARE will support the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival’s mainstage and educational outreach programs, including the D.G. Menchetti Young Shakespeare Program. Remaining proceeds will underwrite the region’s July 4th fireworks presentation, scheduled to begin in Incline Village at 9:30pm.
In order to keep the community in the holiday spirit, Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival staff members will distribute custom-made buttons at multiple Red, White and Tahoe Blue events, including the America the Beautiful Community Parade along Tahoe Blvd (July 2nd), the Tahoe CAN Community Fair & Barbeque on the Village Green (July 2nd), BRUNCH WITH SHAKESPEARE at Aspen Grove (July 3rd) and the Relay 4 Life Chili Cook-Off at the Village Shopping Center (July 4th). In addition, staff members will also be awarding 12 pairs of tickets to the Festival’s production of Twelfth Night to lucky patrons that happen to be wearing their custom buttons at Red, White and Tahoe Blue events.
Tickets are on sale now through the Festival’s website and at The Potlatch located in the Raley’s Shopping Center in Incline Village, NV. Walk-up sales are also welcome at Aspen Grove the morning of the brunch.
