Amanda Alvey

The Comedy of Errors / Nell, Ensemble

Amanda has performed with NV Repertory Company as Nurse in Romeo and Juliet and Verges in Much Ado About Nothing, with Bruka Theatre as Lady Meresfale in Stage Beauty, Elizabeth in In the Next Room, and Witch in Macbeth. She was Sister James in TWNN’s production of Doubt and originated the role of Tracy in Good Luck Macbeth’s Last Call at the Old Southwest. She’s on the board of GLM and a member of the Reno improv troupe The Utility Players. Endless love and thanks to family and friends. Neil…I love you…always have.


Joe Atack

The Comedy of Errors / Merchant, Ensemble

Joe is excited for his 7th season in the acting company, having previously appeared in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Richard III, Twelfth Night, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, As You Like It and Romeo and Juliet. Joe trained at The Arden School of Theatre in Manchester, UK. Joe is an experienced teaching artist, having taught in the UK, Switzerland and US. Joe works for LTSF year round as director of education, is producing artistic director of Good Luck Macbeth Theatre Co. in Reno, NV and a musician. Joe would like to dedicate his performances this season to the loving memory of D.G. Menchetti Young Shakespeare actor Ethan McKinney.


Kate Atack

The Comedy of Errors / Ensemble

Kate is thrilled to be returning to LTSF for her fourth season, having previously performed in Romeo and Juliet, Twelfth Night, and The Two Gentlemen of Verona.  Select credits include: King Lear,The Nether, Clown Bar, Shiner, The House of Yes, Evil Dead: The Musical, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Much Ado About Nothing, Macbeth, Stage Beauty, Love Song, The Tempest, Ubu the King, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Charm of Preparedness, Cahoots.  Equity Membership Candidate with Actors’ Equity Association.  Kate would like to dedicate her performance to the loving memory of Young Shakespeare actor Ethan McKinney.

Jeb Burris*

The Comedy of Errors / Dromio of Ephesus

Jeb makes his Tahoe debut. Recent credits: American Players Theatre: Pride and Prejudice, The Game of Love and Chance, Othello, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Travesties, Romeo and Juliet, and Much Ado About Nothing. The Utah Shakespeare Festival: The Tempest, King John, Love’s Labor’s Lost, Titus Andronicus, The Merry Wives of Windsor, The Glass Menagerie, and Richard III. Chicago Shakespeare Theatre:  Romeo and Juliet.  Sacramento Theatre Company: Romeo and Juliet, Julius Caesar. Jeb earned his MFA from Illinois State University and trained with the Royal Shakespeare Company and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in the U.K. Love to Mel, always.

Heidi Dippold*

The Comedy of Errors / Emilia, Ensemble

Heidi Dippold is making her LTSF debut. Among some of Heidi’s theatrical credits: South Coast Repertory Theatre (SCR) Future Thinking, Mr. Marmalade and Smokefall–all world premieres. Last season she played Marilyn Monroe in the LA Theatre Works (LATW) world premiere production of Arthur Miller – A Life and prior to that, Mrs. Robinson in the LATW national tour of The Graduate. Other theatres: Long Wharf Theatre Company, New Orleans Shakespeare Festival, Cleveland Play House, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, to name a few. TV/FILM: The Sopranos, NCIS, Alias, 20 Good Years among others and numerous commercials. Heidi is an MFA graduate of Rutgers University Mason Gross School of the Arts and is certified in Fitzmaurice Voicework®.

Casey L. Hagwood*

Stage Manager – The Comedy of Errors, Forever Plaid

This is Casey’s first season with LTSF. Previous stage management credits include: King Lear, The Tempest (Idaho Shakespeare Festival), Origin-8 (Barrow Group NYC), The Goddess (Looking Glass), Laughter and Reflection with Carol Burnett (The Palace, CT), High School Musical (TriArts), and three seasons with Seven Angels Theatre in Connecticut. Casey is in her third year as the resident production stage manager at Merrimack Repertory Theatre in Massachusetts, where credits include: I and You, The Realness, The White Chip, Year Zero, and many other new plays. BA from UNCW, MFA from CCM. Proud member of AEA. For Mom.

Theater: Marya in The Government Inspector (Pearl Theater Company, NYC); Arabella in Animal Crackers, Isabel in The Pirates of Penzance, Kate Keepdown in Measure for Measure (Oregon Shakespeare Festival); Sally Brown in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Idaho Repertory Theatre). TV: My Crazy Love (Oxygen Network), Suddenly Rich (TLC). Mandie has her BFA in musical theater from University of Idaho, and was Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s 2011 Rex Rabold Fellow. She is a proud member of Actors’ Equity. Love to Jon, always.

Mic Matarese*

The Comedy of Errors / Solinus, Pinch

This is Mic’s third season with LTSF where he was seen last summer as Lord Capulet (Romeo and Juliet), and before that Oberon (A Midsummer’s Night Dream). Favorite roles played along the road across the country are Stanely Kowalski (A Streetcar Named Desire), The Commandant (Way to Heaven), Jacob Marley (A Christmas Carole), Richard Greatham (Hay Fever), Willie Stark (All the King’s Men), Vanya (Uncle Vanya), Raskolnikov (Crime and Punishment), Shannon (Night of the Iguana), and Mephisto (Faust). Mic holds an MFA from the University of Delaware, where he is a founding member of the Resident Ensemble Players.

Erin (second season) was last seen on the Great Lakes Theater and Idaho Shakespeare Festival stage as the Princess of France in Love’s Labor’s Lost, and here, at Lake Tahoe, as Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet. Regional credits with The Shakespeare Theater of New Jersey, The Shakespeare Theatre, The Resident Ensemble Players, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, and Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival. Favorite roles include Ophelia (Hamlet), Ariel (The Tempest), Isabella (Measure for Measure), Roxanne (Cyrano de Bergerac), Stella (A Streetcar Named Desire), Hermia (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Clarice (The Liar), and Ilona Szabo (The Play’s the Thing). Erin received her masters from the PTTP in 2007.


James Penca*

Lake Tahoe debut! Selected NYC: The Artist and The Scientist (CAP21 Theatre Company) as Scientist, Save the Date (NYC Fringe) as Michael, The Joe Iconis Christmas Spectacular ’13, 14 and 15 (54 Below) as Mr. Jensen-Myer. Selected Regional: The Fantasticks (ISF) as Mortimer, The Circus in Winter (Goodspeed) as Ollie, Nine Wives (Sharon Playhouse) as Henry. Proud member of Actors’ Equity and graduate of the Baldwin Wallace Music Theatre Program where he helped found the annual Baldwin Wallace Beatles Festival. Mack couldn’t be more excited to join the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare family! Shad Willingham*

The Comedy of Errors / Angelo

Shad Willingham is a professor of acting with the California State University, Northridge. Some directing credits: Avenue Q, The Servant of Two Masters and Idiot’s Delight. Most recently Shad appeared as Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream for Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival and Marc Antony in Antony and Cleopatra for Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival. After receiving his Masters of Fine Arts degree from the University of Washington, Shad joined the acting company of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival for six seasons. Shad graduated from the North Carolina School of the Arts, the British American Drama Academy and the Moscow Art Theatre training program. Love to H&T&A.
