Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival
The Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, a summer tradition, announces new customized and tailored packages for its 38th season, inviting groups of all sizes to the ultimate lively, outdoor event from July 9 – August 22, 2010. Through the offered packages, groups can enjoy anything from a picnic on the sand to an extravagant gourmet event to wine tasting to intimate backstage access. The 2010 Festival showcases the outrageous comedy The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) five nights per week, as well as a rotating selection of live musical acts on Monday and Friday nights, all featuring stunning panoramic views of Lake Tahoe.
Groups have the option to coordinate backstage passes for a memorable, interactive pre-show visit with actors and company members in addition to tours of the outdoor stage and amphitheatre for those who want to delve into the intimate and personal view of theatre life.
While overlooking the beach and clear blue waters, groups can savor cuisine from Shakespeare’s Kitchen & Bar, a full-service restaurant and premium bar, that prepares everything from elegant picnic dinners to three-course meals delivered directly to guests’ seats. Or, experience the VIP stage side lounge Clarity, which creates an idyllic setting for pre-show dining with on-site catering, dedicated wait-staff, bartender and personalized menu options. Private wine tastings for groups at Shakespeare’s Vineyard wine bar, featuring selections from around the globe are also available.
Several packages are available this summer for groups of all sizes and budgets. The following are a few of the more popular group package options:
